Here is the latest and most accurate Eastwood trail map. Many thanks to Greg Rowley for creating it. The MTB trail has been extended to 5 miles long, and uses virtually every possible trail at EW (including all of the double track lighted ski trail). The MTB TT trail does not cross the new road for safety reasons, but there is also an extensive single track trail on the west side of the road. The west side trail is perhaps 2-3 miles long.

A part of the access to the trail is on the Scout Reservation. They have been great to work with and have given us permission to use this access trail. We must always respect their privacy when they have camp sessions going on.

The ride starts at Gamehaven Lake access trail on the northwest end of the Scout parking lot. You will see a yellow arrow.

The trail is marked with these. At approximately 150 yards turn left (south). Go another 100 yards turn right. Follow this trail to the intersection of the lake access trail where you will turn right and then on to the new trail section. To make a loop you can follow the Lake access trail and re-enter the single track or you can re-ride the single track. The loop as shown is ~2.5 miles long.  You can view an enlarged version of the trail map here or by clicking on the image below.

Enjoy!

MTB trails - Gamehaven Reservoir
       (under development)

RASC received approval from Rochester Park Board (manages the Park) and the Joint Powers Board (manages the Reservoir) to build trails in the

Gamehaven Reservoir Park  starting in Spring 2013 Along with the trails on City Property, we have also received permission from the Gamehaven Council to build trails on portions of the Scout property that borders the Park.  Having many discussions with Scout representatives, we see so many exciting opportunities to work together in supporting youth programs.

There are some cleanup items yet to be completed before we can get started – City Council approval to release funds to fence the face of the dam, completion of an agreement with the Joint Powers Board, and an agreement with the Gamehaven Council. Parts of the trail on Scout property will be restricted at certain times when there are conflicting Scouting activities. This is minimal and should not be a problem.

Attached is a proposed representative trail map. We plan to build the trails in three phases. The trail segment in Phase Two on the Scout property will offer some good single track on hilly terrain. Our future plans are to extend the trails completely around the lake. Although we haven’t done an accurate GPS of the total area, I estimate we will have over 6 miles of trail.

If you have any questions or would like to help in building the trail please contact
