Steeplechase Closes

The owners of Steeplechase, Kevin and Amy Kastler, have decided to close the recreation area and seek new ownership for the area. As of September 30, 2007, the area will be closed to mountain biking and Kevin does not plan to be open this winter for skiing. This will also place a challenge on finding early snow for the high school nordic ski team. Hopefully he will be able to find new owners that will want to continue with the two sports. We are exploring options to be able to continue mountain biking at Steeplechase next summer as well as having trails in other places.
