RMBT Athlete Registration is NOW OPEN
It’s go time. If your rider is finishing grades 5–11 and ready for trails, teamwork, and a little dirt in their teeth, the Rochester Mountain Bike Team is ready for them. All ability levels welcome, from brand new riders to seasoned racers.
Season includes practices, skill development, and a 4-race series (including a hometown race in Rochester ).

RASC Hike - Chester Woods
Please join us for a moderate-paced hike on the wooded trails of Chester Woods Park in Chester. The route will be approximately 5 miles, and we expect to be hiking for about 3 hours. Optional loop is additional 2 miles / 1 hour. We will pause occasionally to enjoy the scenery.
All trails are unpaved with uneven terrain, including turf, ruts, roots, rocks, gravel, and possible mud.
📍 Meeting location: Informational Stand by Boat Launch
Date: June 27th
🕘 Time: 8:00 AM (brief introductions; we’ll start hiking at 8:10)
Parking: Free parking is available near the meeting area.
Pace: The planned pace is about 20 minutes per mile. Note that pace may vary depending on weather, group size, and trail conditions.
Leaders will do their best to keep the group together, though some natural spreading may occur. Trail maps will be available for anyone with concerns, and the park is well-marked.
Route: Clockwise — Bluffland State Trail / Dam Overlook Trail / South Sand Prairie Trail / (Optional Zieman Loop Trail )/ Prairie Ridge Trail / Dam Overlook Trail / Bluffland State Trail.
Note: Please be aware that in many parks outside Rochester, there is limited or no cellphone coverage. If you are unfamiliar with a park, please download a map prior to you phone ahead of time.
Optional: Post-hike lunch

RASC Hike - Quarry Hill
Please join us for a moderate/easy-paced hike on the wooded trails of Quarry Hill Park in Rochester. The route will be approximately 4 miles, and we expect to be hiking for about 2 hours. We will pause occasionally to enjoy the scenery. Most of the trails are rated easy to moderate, with overall gentle terrain and a few short, steeper sections that add mild challenge.
📍 Meeting location: Picnic shelter by the Nature Center

Parking: Free parking is available in the main parling lot, near the meeting area.

Inaugural RASC Hike Oxbow Park
Please join us for a moderate-paced hike on the wooded trails of Oxbow Park in Byron. The route will be approximately 4.0–4.5 miles, and we expect to be hiking for 2 to 2.5 hours. We will pause occasionally to enjoy the scenery.

Please join us for our Annual Meeting on May 13th. See your friends and meet new RASC members involved in cycling, Nordic skiing, or mountain biking! Free pizza will be provided for all RASC members in attendance. Cash bar available.
The RASC board will present a recap of the past year and a look toward the year ahead. Board members will be available throughout the evening to address any questions or suggestions you may have.
We have three inspiring guest speakers confirmed for the Annual Meeting.

10am Race Start 10K – 4 loops of the trail system, includes Up/down Storbakken Hill (once at beginning)
11am Race Start 5K – 2 loops of the trail system (no big hills)
Each Loop is ~2.5K – course marked with blue V-boards and blue paint and Course Monitors at key points
There ARE classic tracks set on outside edges. Mass Starts – self seeded (we’ll help place you as needed)

Luminaria Trail Night + Hot Chocolate @ Northern Heights
Join Rochester Active Sports Community (RASC) for a winter evening at Northern Heights Park Trail on Saturday, January 31 from 7:00–8:30 PM. The trail will be illuminated with luminarias, but flashlights are also welcome!
Hikers: Snow boots recommended (snowshoes not needed).
Bikers: Fat bikes only, please (3.8" tire width or greater).
Start at the trailhead and warm up with free hot chocolate to celebrate National Hot Chocolate Day!
